I feel proud about my final design of the hot sauce bottle label. I worked fairly hard on it and I have a feeling accomplishment. I went with totally different theme of super heroes which is pretty cool. While I made the design I though as if the label would actually be used like in stores. Doing so helped influence a lot of my decisions. Like instead of having a red background I though having a blue background and having the colors of the character, words, and logo would make it more distinguished and eye catching. And the super hero theme would make any kids want their parents to buy that bottle instead. There was a bit of empty space beside the logo, and I did want to add some more detail to the character on the bottle. Also I could have put some more info about the company on there.
I actually haven’t looked at my grades from the first quarter. I don’t really plan to either. I just plan on trying to do better no matter what and toughing up and showing up to school regardless of how I’m feeling.
I like Photoshop a lot. It was actually the first adobe product I ever used. But back then all I did was simple things like adjusting the contrast and exposure of pictures to use later on. To use the more complex tools of it is fun and everything it’s just a lot to remember for wanting to do certain things. Also I’m still used to all the Illustrator keyboard shortcuts so it’s a bit of an adjustment. And when using Photoshop you really have to have a vision of what you want to do. You can just play around with it but then it feels like you’re not doing much of anything and becomes a bit redundant.
The SCAD presentation was great. It was very influential to the point where I love the though of going there. Before I had only thought of Clemson. But to me the only downside was Clemson isn’t exactly known for animators or anything like that but Scad on the other hand is known exactly for that and more.
Job shadowing was fun. It gave a good understanding to the photography business. Especially self employed/ freelancer photographers. The photoshoot that I went to on Tuesday was really insightful even though the next day I felt like crap.
